YXT is located in the hub of the Northwest 10 kilometres south of Terrace. The airport is a 15-minute drive from downtown Terrace.
From Prince Rupert/Terrace: Proceed East on Highway 16 to the Highway intersection then South on Highway 37 to the Airport Intersection. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes
From Smithers: Proceed West on Highway 16 approximately 200 kilometers till the intersection of Highway 37 to Kitimat then South on highway 37 to the Airport turn-off. Travel time is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
From Kitimat: Proceed North on Highway 37 approximately 48 kilometers to the Airport sign on Max Neubacher Way. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes.
